Roseville, CA – The City of Roseville is excited to announce that its new soccer complex will officially be named the Placer Valley Soccer Complex. On October 16, the Roseville City Council approved a $5 million, 12-year naming rights agreement with Placer Valley Tourism, marking a significant milestone in the city’s efforts to expand sports tourism.
“We are thrilled to officially introduce the Placer Valley Soccer Complex,” said Jill Geller, Roseville Parks, Recreation & Libraries Director. “Our partnership with Placer Valley Tourism is a natural fit given our shared commitment to advancing sports tourism in Roseville. Their financial support will help with the continued development and maintenance of the complex, ensuring it remains a top-tier facility that provides both recreational and economic benefits to the community for years to come.”
The Placer Valley Soccer Complex, slated to open in late 2025, will feature 10 lighted artificial turf fields, Roseville’s largest universally accessible playground, concessions, a perimeter walking path, and ample parking. The complex is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, further establishing Roseville as a premier sports destination and boosting local tourism.
In addition to this agreement, the Roseville City Council also approved a $120,000, 3-year naming rights agreement with the Roseville Automall for two prominent plazas within the complex. These plazas, to be named the Roseville Automall North Plaza and Roseville Automall South Plaza, will enhance the visitor experience and provide additional visibility for the Roseville Automall.
Additional naming rights opportunities for individual fields and the universally accessible playground are still available. These opportunities provide businesses and organizations with the chance to support the community while gaining visibility in a highly trafficked venue.
“The Placer Valley Soccer Complex will be a tremendous asset to our region,” said Dominick Casey, Roseville City Manager. “We’re thankful for the support of the Roseville Automall and Placer Valley Tourism and excited to welcome athletes and families from Northern California and beyond to enjoy this world-class facility in Roseville.”
This project reflects the City of Roseville’s ongoing commitment to expanding recreational opportunities, promoting healthy lifestyles, and driving economic growth. The complex will serve as a hub for regional sports tourism, benefiting local businesses and providing new opportunities for athletes of all ages.
